At heart, I am a scientist and a teacher. At my very core, my nature demands evidence. I want to know why things work, how things work, and understand those processes. By environment, I am a teacher, both of my parents were teachers, education has always been important to me.
The axiom in medical school is “see one, do one, teach one.” This sums up my approach to much of life. So when I began this search at the tender age of 17, thinking myself so mature and independent, yet realizing I lacked so much knowledge, I pursued knowledge—see one.
Throughout my last 20 years, I have developed my education in medicine, religion, God, the world, I have done life—do one. Now prayerfully, I can teach one.
